Retreat Description: Rest and peer support for parents and caretakers of kids with neurodivergence and other intellectual or learning disabilities.
Stop Saving the World for a Second.
Between the constant advocacy, co-regulating, and support accomodations your nervous system is over-taxed and drowning. After all the energy you spend caring for those around you, maybe it's time to take a moment for your own well-being.
We’re inviting you to a weekend where "productivity" is a four-letter word. Come as you are—disheveled, exhausted, in need of time with people who get it. We’re making space to reflect what you’ve left behind and celebrate the unlikely gifts you’ve picked up along the way. Leave it behind for a weekend and come rest, wander, sleep and eat. There is only one person you have to regulate this weekend and that person is you!
There will be opportunities to share your unique story, give shape to your experience through creative expression, ponder the gifts embedded in your experience, and spend time in solitude, rest, play, and the outdoors. A full itinerary will be provided prior to the retreat.
We are really excited to make this retreat available to parents who need it. We're also open to including "parent/caregiver-adjacent" participants, like teachers, other family members, friends, even therapists, who want to learn more about the experience of raising neurodivergent kids, in order to better support their clients, family members, students, etc. Please share this invitation.
